There’s nothing quite as good as spring in Perth City. From the delightfully sunny 20-degree weather and wildflower season to amazing activities and festivals. We’ve put together some of our favourite spring activities in the city and surrounds to keep you entertained this spring
Kings Park Festival
Spring has sprung and that means the wildflowers have too. The Kings Park Festival, this year titled The Greatest Wildflower Show on Earth, is the place to be if you want to see thousands of Western Australian wildflowers blooming in the one spot. From yoga to wildflower walking trails, sculptures, photography tips and kids entertainment, there’s something for everyone.

Telstra Perth Fashion Festival (TPFF)
Celebbrating its 20th anniversary, TPFF is back and it’s bigger than ever. Expect a dynamic display of Australia’s top designers and international favourites including Dion Lee, Scanlan Theodore and Bloom. Aside from amazing runway shows, you can also expect an array of community events including film screenings, workshops and exhibitions.

Blooming Cocktails at Ivy & Jack
Forget Spring Cleaning, we’re all about Spring Drinking, and what better way to kick back than with a cocktail at Ivy & Jack? Choose from our Fleur Rosé (rosé & Chambord) and Orange Blossom (gin, ginger & orange) cocktails for just $16.

Bird Cage Installation
Last year there was a hanging spring garden in the city, this year you can expect giant bird cages along Hay St, just minutes away from Holiday Inn Perth. It’s the perfect city selfie location this spring.

Perth Royal Show
The countdown to Perth’s favourite show is on! The Perth Royal Show is the perfect family destination for all ages, including the big adult kids! From animal cuddles, to rides, to racing pigs, artwork, fireworks and of course showbags packed with treats, you’ll be sure to find something for everyone. Best of all, it’s just a short train ride to Claremont Showgrounds from Holiday Inn Perth.

Spring Family Film Festival
Thanks to the City of Perth and brand new Palace Cinemas in the City, this spring you can enjoy FREE tickets to multiple screenings of six new release family and children’s films. The tickets haven’t been released just yet but keep an eye at the link below to snatch some up before they’re gone!

AWESOME International Arts Festival
The AWESOME International Arts Festival is a creative learning program for kids, or as they call them – vibrant young things! With acts such as Pianist and Prankster and Cheeky Monkeys you can tell there’s going to be some seriously fun stuff.

Cher
If you missed Cher at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras earlier this year, don’t fret because she’s set to make a return to Australia this year and this time she’s stopping off at Perth. Catch the Icon singing her most popular hits such as If I Could Turn Back Time and Believe.

Wildcats
No visit to Perth is complete without catching the Perth Wildcats basketball game. With the season starting October 14, you can catch their home games at HBF Perth Arena as they fight their way to finals.

The Wiggles
The Wiggles have been entertaining kids all around the world for over 27 year. This November they’re bringing their brand-new show – Wiggle Pop! – to Perth. Featuring all the favourite songs like Hot Potato and Do the Propellor.
