Malthouse Theatre and Black Swan State Theatre Company of WA have joined forces to bring a classic Australian novel to life at His Majesty’s Theatre.  Award Winning novelist and Australian Tim Winton is well known for his novels depicting the Australian lifestyle. His novel Cloudstreet depicts two very different families living under the same roof in a post-war era. A production full of humour and heart, Cloudstreet is not to be missed! The theatre is just 3-minutes away, making Holiday Inn Perth the perfect location for a staycation and a bite to eat at intermission.

Australia’s National Open Mic competition State Final will be held at the Comedy Lounge this year! The Comedy Lounge is just a 5-minute walk from Holiday Inn Perth City Centre and plays host to Perth’s best comedians and overseas acts. Expect a night full of belly laughs and experience some home grown talent.

Perth Makers Market is returning to Yagan Square this May for their Twilight Series. Enjoy browsing the selection of handmade and local artisan stalls underneath the fairy lights. From food, to gifts and gin tastings, the market has it all.

AFL Season Start

The first game of footy for 2020 kicks off at Optus Stadium on Sunday 22 March with West Coast vs Melbourne. Anzac Day dawn service

Anzac Day is one of Australia’s most important national occasions as it marks the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces. Each year we commemorate those who served and remember those lost at war with a beautiful dawn service at the State War Memorial in Kings Park. This service is attended by over 40,000 people each year, and is a truly special moment to participate in.

Tame Impala Tour

Perth’s own Kevin Parker, returns with Tame Impala during their biggest ever Australian Tour. Their psychedelic-rock music has gained cult fan status over the years, since their first EP in 2008 and debut album in 2010. Prepare for the psychedelic euphoria that is Tame Impala at RAC Arena this April.
