How to Get There

Booking your accommodation near RAC Arena makes it easy to get to your event on time and hassle free! With the venue just a 10 minute stroll away from our hotel, it means you can enjoy a drink or a meal before your event and experience all Perth has to offer on the way.

There are a few routes but the easiest is to walk on Hay St towards King St, turn right on King St and walk until you reach Wellington St. Turn left onto Wellington St and walk until you reach RAC Arena (just after Milligan St).
It’s just a four-minute drive from Holiday Inn® Perth to the RAC Arena; head west on Hay St towards Milligan St and turn right. Continue until you reach the RAC car park. It will cost $30.00 to park during an event and ACROD bays are available.
We wouldn’t recommend driving to RAC Arena as there is very limited parking nearby and it can be difficult to navigate at peak time.
The Red CAT bus conveniently stops right outside Holiday Inn Perth City Centre and does a loop around the city. You can catch the Red CAT from Hay St Central Park stop 12, to Hay St QV1 stop 14 for 3 minutes. From here you walk down Milligan St for 5 minutes before reaching RAC Arena. In total this trip will take 8 minutes.

Looking for a great bite to eat before a show in Perth? Ivy & Jack is the place to be. With happy hour daily from 5pm – 6pm, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and a nibble before walking to the show.
Found nestled in the arms of the William Street Horseshoe Bridge, between Roe and Wellington Streets, Yagan Square has rejuvenated that part of the city. It boasts a multitude of eateries, including a range of Asian eats, pubs and local cuisine . You’ll find something for everyone here, even a park for the kids!
Just a short 4-minute walk from the arena, you’ll find Market Grounds. It’s a great location to have a bite to eat and just relax. If you want to enjoy a meal before a show, we recommend making a booking as it can get very busy on weekends and before events

Can I take my bag to RAC Arena?
Small bags are allowed into events at RAC Arena, however bags larger than A4 (including handbags, child and baby bags, and backpacks) are forbidden.
Is there a cloakroom?
Yes! An external cloak room is available for bags above A4 size and large items, and an internal cloak room is available at the information desk for jackets. The cloakroom is offered free of charge.
Can I BYO food and alcohol?
Unfortunately, you are not allowed to BYO food or alcohol. However, you can purchase these items from one of the many bars and eateries at RAC Arena.
I’m bringing my baby; do I need to buy them a ticket?
The Babes in Arms policy outlines the age at which children can sit on the knee of a guardian for free. This can change depending on each event, but it will be listed on the Ticketek show page.
Please note that prams will need to be stored in the external cloak room as they are not permitted inside the arena.
Are wheelchairs allowed into the arena?
RAC Arena has designated wheelchair bays, as well as assistance if you would prefer to sit in the stands. For full ACROD information, please visit the RAC Arena website.
Do I need ID?
If you are attending a show that is for over 18s or where you intend to purchase alcohol, you will need to show valid identification (ID) as proof. This includes:
- A current passport with photograph
- A current Australian drivers’ licence with a photo
- A Western Australian proof of age card
Can I smoke during the show?
Smoking and e-cigarettes are prohibited in all areas of the arena.
Can I take photos and videos of the show?
Each event has its own camera policy, however mobile phone photography is generally allowed. Professional cameras are not to be taken into the venue without approval and for your safety, selfie sticks are not allowed in the venue. Please respect those around you and turn off flash.
