How We Support Sustainability & Community
at our Hotel
Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is dedicated to caring for the environment and communities that surround us. We are taking steps to create an environmentally sustainable living and working environment for our guests and colleagues alike. Here is what we have implemented to do our part in making positive changes for the world:

IHGĀ® Green Engage
We know that sustainability is as important to you as it is to us. All IHG hotels use the IHG Green Engage system, an innovative online environmental sustainability system that enables us to measure and manage our impact on the environment.
There are four levels of achievement in the Green Engage system. We are proud to be making environmental changes to sustainability with a Level 2.

Greener Stay Program
When you stay with us for more than one night, you can choose to take part in our Greener Stay program.
By opting out of daily housekeeping, you will help us to reduce waste and conserve energy and water. Youāll find a Greener Stay door hanger in your room. Simply hang this outside your door by 2am and weāll know that youād like to opt out of housekeeping services the next day.
We will thank you with IHGĀ® Rewards Points.

Winnow waste management system
Ā Winnow is a new cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology to track and manage waste in our kitchen. The technology scans food wastage and communicates wastage statistics to our team so they can make changes in the kitchen for a more sustainable future.

Plastic Straw Ban
In alignment with IHGās pledge to remove plastic straws from all hotels, we removed plastic straws from our restaurant and bar in 2018.

Envision Hands
Weāre recycling plastic bottle caps with a difference – donating all caps to Envision to be made into prosthetic hands for children.

Solar Panels
Solar panels are installed on our rooftop, aiding to combat greenhouse gas emissions with renewable energy sources and reducing our fossil fuel consumption. We currently have 120 solar panels installed on our rooftop, generating 10,000kwh per month. This equates to up to 15% of our total electricity usage.

Soap Aid
Soap Aid is a not for profit organisation recycling soap for communities facing major hygiene challenges.
Soap Aid sort, clean and reprocess hotel soap into fresh, hygienic soap bars. Over 151+ tonnes of soap has been saved from landfill, providing over 280,000 children & adults with soap and improving health outcomes throughout Australian indigenous communities and throughout the world.
