Bar Hop in Perth City
Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is surrounded by the best bars and restaurants in Perth, so it would be a crime not to try a few. The best part is, you’ll only have to walk a short way home to your room – no designated drivers here! Make the most of your staycation by exploring Perth’s bar scene before a big night out or a night at the theatre.
Here’s a few of our favourite bars:
Ivy & Jack
Right next door, Ivy & Jack is the best place to kick off your bar hop. Best of all, they have $8 happy hour pints.
Located directly behind Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is a tiny laneway called Wolf Lane, packed with amazing street art and the aptly named bar Wolf Lane.
Perfect for warmer nights, rooftop bar The Aviary has a great outlook over Perth City with great music and atmosphere.
Crossing over into Northbridge, and you’ll find The Standard – a venue with both outdoor and indoor seats, perfect for all seasons. Grab a few nibbles and you’ll be good to go.
Just around the corner from The Standard, you’ll find the underground speakeasy Sneaky Tony’s. This bar is renowned for their rum-based cocktail selection. Be warned, you’ll need a password to get in, so be sure to check their Facebook account for the evening’s password.
Shopping & Cocktails

We’ve listed a few of our favourite shops below, if you’re short on time you’ll have to check these out:
Zomp & HAL
It’s not a shopping trip without shoes. For the best shoes in Perth City, you’ll need to stop by King Street. For high quality heels, boots and everything leather Zomp is your one stop shop. If sneakers are your thing, then Highs And Lows (HAL) is the place to be.
For a range of great small shops with amazing style and flair, ENEX is the perfect place to stop. From young and fun clothing including Miss Olive and Gorman, to the sophisticated lines of Veronika Maine and Jack London, to Kikki K and more – you’ll find everything you need.
If you’re on the hunt for a gift or some well made quirky clothing, Pigeonhole should be your first stop! They have two Perth City locations, one on Murray Street (directly behind Holiday Inn Perth) and the other in ENEX Shopping Centre, just a few minutes’ walk.
Myer & David Jones
Your classic clothing shops are also in the city; Myer and David Jones always having the perfect outfit for a night on the town. Don’t write them off!
