It’s a spectacle like no other, brought to you by the dynamic collaboration of WA Museum, Perth Zoo, and Perth Cultural Centre, with the creative genius of artists Gillie and Marc. Picture this: Perth transformed into a mesmerizing playground teeming with 20 incredible bronze sculptures of the world’s most endangered baby animals. And who better to protect these adorable creatures than their universal mother, a majestic great eastern lowland gorilla?

Now, here’s your chance to be a wildlife explorer extraordinaire! Grab your very own Wild About Babies passport, available for pick-up at various locations around the lively Perth Cultural Centre. Armed with this passport, you’ll not only embark on an exciting safari of discovery but also join us in spreading the vital message of conservation. Want to dive headfirst into the adventure from the comfort of your own home? No problem! You can download and print your Wild About Babies passport right here. Or, if you prefer a touch of excitement in your journey, swing by Boola Bardip, the State Theatre Centre of WA, or the State Library of WA to grab your passport in person.

But wait, there’s more! As part of the festivities, the WA Museum, Perth Zoo, and Perth Cultural Centre have invited talented young artists aged 3 to 13 years-old to let their imaginations run wild. Children were asked to create their very own masterpieces, capturing endangered animals in their artwork and expressing why we should all care deeply for these magnificent creatures. Now, get ready to be inspired as you explore the marvelous drawings and heartfelt messages from these budding artists. Their creativity and passion will touch your soul and remind us all of the precious wonders that exist in our world.

School’s Out Winter Fest

These school holidays City of Perth are creating a winter wonderland at Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre between July 1st-16th. The Winter Fest has something for everyone in the heart of the city, and only a 5 minute walk from our front door! Explore the skies in the swinging chairs, race and crash in the dodgem cars, show off your grace and talent while ice skating (penguin skating aids are available!), and don’t forget to visit sideshow alley for a great treat to remember the day! There will even be a snowfall for you to experience the beauty of a true winter wonderland.

Entry is available from 9am-3pm available, and the staggered entry times mean that it will never be too overwhelming, but once inside, you can stay until 6pm. Still don’t know what to watch at Fringe World? City of Perth has partnered up with Fringe to bring teasers from some of the best shows to you for free! The teasers are family friendly and conveniently located near the main box office at Yagan Square.
